Last night I saw a divine concert from MY FAVORITE AGGIE. That seems like an oxymoron to say “favorite aggie” but it’s true ;-) He is simply a wonderful, humble, disgustingly talented performer and artist. If you have never had the pleasure to see him live, do yourself a favor and catch him when he’s back in town next time. I promise you’ll be so glad you did.

Can you imagine losing this? I cannot. Give your babies extra big snuggles and kisses today. Have a little extra patience and LAUGH. That’s what I’ll be working on this afternoon ;-)

Last thing, as Lyle would say…”dance right where you are.”

Well. Ahem. Seems so much has happened since last I wrote. Here’s the deal. Lily’s birthday was a pretty rotten day. She threw the kind of tantrum where she ripped my shirt while screaming at the top of her little lungs for what seemed like forever. To add to her emotional meltdowns (which have skyrocketed in the last month or so) we’re in the midst of potty training and I am stumped. Gently guide her, forcefully guide her (I know this is a no-no, but man it’s hard not to), or give up? PLUS, Sweet Natalie fell off my bed on this same rotten day while I’m trying to work in between naps. So basically I was feeling like a Grade A failure for so many reasons. So so many reasons. I’m generally in a bad mood all the time. I’m trying to juggle everything (like all of you) yet I seem to have such a short fuse these days. So, I’ve decided to REALLY, really let things go.  I always try to remind myself how very lucky I am for so many incredible reasons. Not the least of which is my amazing Lily. Challenging, stubborn, emotional, observant, smart, strong-willed, still such a baby, Lily. Here are some of her on her big day (that got better by the end.) I’m blaming the quality of these pics (not good!) on the fact that “it was a bad, bad day.”

Her favorite part of any day. Cake. Chocolate, please.

This is how her attitude was for most of the day. Only multiply it by 40 bajillion.

Maybe my favorite picture ever of her below…

The happy fam. Do I look good or what? I was sooo done at this point.

Anyway, I’m trying to be the new and improved and more relaxed Sara…wish me luck!

but so far – it sucks is not going so well couldn’t be worse on all fronts. Today is Lily’s 3rd birthday and I wanted to post all sorts of cute happy pictures of her…except…she’s not so happy today. Nor am I.

Good gracious, send good thoughts. It’s a rough one, folks. I’ll try again tomorrow with some happy snaps.

(are you sending good thoughts yet?)

My 5-year wedding anniversary is in a couple of weeks. I would like to go to a fabulous dinner and a fabulous hotel for the evening. Any suggestions? I would prefer something a little off the beaten path. A boutique hotel? A small, quaint restaurant? A bed and breakfast within a 2 hour drive? I dunno. Help me! You’ve been somewhere fabulous – I just know it!

For posting sake…here is a hilarious picture Lily took of the three of us. I LOVE it. Really! See my new short haircut peeking out? It’s very similar to Posh Spice’s do. Yep. I am so. posh. spice.

There is beauty everywhere. Found this lone weed in my front yard a few weeks back. She was all by her lonesome…and look how gorgeous she is. Ya know what else is gorgeous? Rainbows. No pictures for that one…but I make it a point to always go rainbow hunting with Lily whenever I see sunshine and rain at the same time. Always stop and make time to look for rainbows.
