Hello Friends,
Meet the Bryan Family. I went to high school with Dad, and it was a sheer delight to be contacted via Facebook to photograph his beautiful family of 3 boys and his lovely wife, Brandi. Each boy was so different and unique in their own special way. Each more adorable than the next. Being around all these boys made me want one of my own! And check out their big ol’ dog! He’s like the dog from the children’s books Henry and Mudge. The whole session was a blast. I hope we can do it again next year!

I’m making this a loooooooong post with pictures b/c I’ve been so bad about blogging. My apologies!
This is another of my beautiful Beaumont families – The Messers. I’ve mentioned before how wonderful the families from Beaumont have been to me. I now officially consider Beaumont my home away from home.
Cool factoid: The gorgeous little girl in the photos…her name is Natalie. Natalie Elizabeth. My daughter’s name? Natalie Elizabeth. Such good taste Celia and I have! hee hee!

OOoooohhhheeeeee I am behind in blogging my recent sessions.
Well, I’m back with a flourish with the wonderful, happy, loving Kennedy family. Teeny twinkie girlies, Alexis and Anabelle, along with big brother Chandler, and totally delightful mom and dad made for one fabulous session.

Do you ever get tired of me saying how I absolutely loved this client or that client? Well, dang it, it’s true. Especially with Datra, Paul, & Molly. Datra made me feel like I knew her from the very first email. Immediately. And she is so self-deprecating (which I am too, and I love this in people), and so down-to-earth, and so … wonderful. Another one of those moms who I either want to adopt me or be my best friend. They are expecting a very special baby boy soon – and what a wonderful family awaits him.

Miss Molly could.not.be.any.cuter. And! She loves Star Wars. How flippin’ cool is that?

Quin family, I cannot – and mean cannot WAIT to meet baby Marshall. So happy for you.

My second time to work with this family was just as fun as the first. Last time (go take a peek)……we had tutus, baby Charlotte, beautiful Kinsey, donuts with sprinkles, stunning mom and dad. Well, you know the saying the more things change…this session we had more tutus, toddler Charlotte, even more beautiful and grown up Kinsey, tea party cookies with sprinkles, and again the stunning mom and dad. Josh gets a big thank you for giving Nikki the session as a Mother’s Day gift. So nice!

This was such a unique session. Jennifer called and wanted a very special family portrait to capture three generations of family. Love and laughter all around. Each person had a unique bond with the next. Just a complete joy to be around them. Thank you, E family!

Wow. Just wow. This family is quite something. Dad is stationed at Ft. Hood and flies Black Hawk helicopters in Iraq. He was home on leave and I was privileged to spend a beautiful spring morning in downtown Houston playing and photographing Betty, Jason and their four very energetic kiddos! This is Jason’s third tour in Iraq. THIRD. I can barely handle two kids with a husband who is here every night. I complain when he comes home a little later than ususual on a given day. Sheesh. I need to get my noggin on straight. Betty is as much as a hero as Jason…and Jason is definitely a hero. He was shot down in Iraq once. Imagine. (He also met someone really creepy over there. Came face to face with him. I’ll leave that person to your imagination.) I made sure to let this family know how much I appreciate all that they are sacraficing for our country. Truly a wonderful family.

For the following pictures, I told everyone to hug and squeeze their dad with all their love so that when he looks at the picture while he is away, he can feel them all by his side.

Four shoots, four days in a row. Four wonderful families.
A specific post for each family coming soon! Also, I never show my favorites in a sneak peek…I show things I LOVE, but save my favorites for the big reveal.
Hope you like!

Jani and Michael are two peas in a pod and I love that. Strong Mama, enamored, spirited son. She leads his Cub Scout Pack, they talk politics, they love their dog. Michael played guitar for me and those are some of my favorite shots. Oh, Michael is only in second grade I think, yet I SWEAR TO YOU he could pass for a 7th grader. Mature and handsome. It was such a pleasure, Jani!
