Due to a whole lotta circumstances, I need to find a home for our lovely Penny Moon. She is a wonderful dog. Please consider her for your own, or please please pass on the word to anyone who might want to adopt her. She is fully house trained (never had an accident!), she is so lovable, she loves to cuddle, she is GORGEOUS and is awesome with kids.
Please pass this on…

I hope you never get tired of me posting about Dakota Rescue. They are wonderful.
I heard Oprah once say that as long as she had a platform to reach others she would use it to try and do some good in the world. And if Oprah said it, it must be alright

| Everyone,
Meet Jasmine – She is being fostered at Pet Paradise Animal Resort. They support Dakota Rescue by provided us with spaces for our rescues while getting them vetted and placing in a forever home. They have taken in Jasmine and asked us to help in finding her a home. She is an American Bulldog mix. She is up to date on all of her shots and is already spayed. She is sweet, playful and full of love. Will you consider giving Jasmine a permanent place to call home? |
Meet Cohiba or Coco as he is called, is a Black Lab that is around 1-2 years old. He was rescued from the Humble Animal Shelter in September the day before being euthanized. Since being rescued, Coco has been microchipped, vaccinated, neutered, and has filled out nicely. He now weighs 50lbs. He is a very playful dog, and is having a blast with his 3 foster sisters, but is looking for a permanent home.
Coco is house trained, crate trained, and rides well in the car even if not in a crate. He loves to play fetch and is a very loyal dog. He loves to be near his human fosters, even if it just means lying in the floor next to the recliner.
Will you consider giving Coco a permanent place to call home?

C’mon Houston peeps. One of you would LOVE Mr. Piper. His story makes me want to cuddle him up, but we have THREE dogs already. Can one of you love him????

| Hello everyone,
Wanted to send out a note on our Mr. Piper. He is still in need of a home. He is the poodle mix that was living in a drain pipe in a ditch. After further investigation with the neighbors the foster was told he had been living there for almost a year. People would walk by and feed him, but no one would give him a home. She rescued him, took him to the vet, he was vetted and groomed, after his grooming, he was 3 times as small and the vet believes he is 90% poodle and he is neutered. She took him home and even considering his prior living circumstances, he walks on a leash lovely, he has had no accidents in the house, a bit timid with sounds, but no aggression and such a love. The vet indicated that he is approximately 3 years old. The current foster said that he will stay in the house all day and not have an accident, which seems amazing because he was living in a ditch for so long. Seems like someone might have owned him before. He has turned out to be the perfec t pet. She is so sad, and would keep him, but she is leaving to England on December 9th. If she took him, he would be quarantined for 6 months. The current photos show him just after his grooming, but the foster indicated he is already getting curly hair. Can someone foster or adopt this precious boy that we are calling Mr. Piper, would make the perfect pet. Please spread the word. For information email: Dakota Rescue.

Everyone,
Oreo & Bella were staying with a foster but their circumstances changed and they are not able to keep them. They need a foster or adopter ASAP. They can be separated if needed. Please help us by cross-posting to everyone. We appreciate your support!

Y’all know how I’m always posting about Dakota Rescue, right? Well, I got one of their emails about a red dog named Penny that loved kids, was well behaved, and would love a forever home.
She found one!
Meet East Texas Coon Hound – Miss Penny Moon. We love her. If you have the means to help a dog (or cat), I say you owe it to them to do so. There are so many that need good homes. Don’t get me started. Sniff.

Seems like a perfect new family member!
Meet Ellie – Can anyone please find it in their heart to give me a home. I would love a permanent loving home but if you can only foster me at this time then that is o.k. too! I am UTD on all of my shots, taking HW and flea preventative. I am scheduled to get spayed next week. I love playing and being with children and I also get along great with other dogs. Basically I am kind of perfect and cute too. I am currently living in a wonderful foster home but I need to find another one. I have been given basic training. Please consider adopting or fostering me and I promise to love you forever.

Remember Kelli and Travis and their engagement pictures several posts back? Well, Kelli works on this beautiful horse farm in Magnolia. While I was snapping their engagement session I begged to take pictures of the horses, too. The following pictures are of two baby colts (I hope that’s the right term!). One is named Picasso (he’s the one with the perfectly healthy blue AND brown eyes), and the other guy is Concerto. Arent’ those beautiful names? Horses bring out the child in people I think. I felt all giddy and excited around them. They are so majestic. It’s not unlike photographing people – they are wildly expressive. Y’all know I like my portraits as intimate as possible, so get ready for some whiskers and nostrils!

This is the best little independent dog rescue group here in Houston. Even if you already have dogs (I have 3!) they need a network of people to forward on the call for foster parents and potential owners for rescues they find. They do wonderful work. I’m not asking you to donate or adopt, just get on their list b/c you might know someone who could foster or needs a wonderful furry new member of their family.
Enjoy your weekend!!
