I’m not sick yet! So I’m editing away while the girls nap. This family was incredibly easy to work with and they let me do my thing – completely. I have so many fun images, and when I’m done I hope they’ll let me share their slideshow with you. This mom, Whitney, deserves a medal. Three boys. She’s so calm and beautiful and photogenic. And those smelly boys ;-)  don’t phase her a bit. I’ll post more soon, just wanted to put a happy pic up!

Update to my last post: Jennifer was so gracious about my colossal mistake and we will be doing her reshoot tomorrow if all things align correctly in the universe. Such as her little boy being healthy after a week of sickness and ME being healthy. Current status: healthy. Ask me in a few hours though…Lily has had a stomach virus for the last 2 days and she’s finally better today. Last night my hubby got it. He’s currently near death in our bedroom (exaggerating of course). My mom is currently on her way home from work feeling horrid with what Lily and Mike had. So I’m hoping I’m not next – but how could I not be?

Anyway, I’m trying to squeeze in some editing and work when I’m not being nurse to Lily and now Mikey and mother to my adorable sweet delicious Natalie. She’s at the cutest stage so far for her new life. She’s squealing and squeaking and SCREECHING and making me laugh my head off while she does so.

Send good thoughts to keep the virus away!!

Off the subject entirely, here’s a pic I took at a clients home last week. Isn’t that a cool display of old cameras????

I feel the need to make a public confession and public apology. A photographer’s worst nightmare happened to me today. I went to start editing a session and the photos were not there. It’s horrible. I feel terrible, awful, sick, nauseous, and careless. You always hear about this happening, but never think it will happen to you. My computer has been at it’s limit lately and I’m constantly moving files, archiving and deleting things to free up space. As I was downloading the cards from the session they must not have made it from the cards to the computer and I didn’t check that the files were safely downloaded. I then used those cards for other sessions and well…the rest is history.

I have learned a valuable lesson, apologized to my client and am hoping she will let me make it up to her.

Just know how awful I feel. I’m sorry Jennifer, Colin and Jennifer’s mom! So sorry.

Ugh.

My beautiful girls from over the weekend…(and a beautiful, beautiful quote to go along with)

Each second we live is a new and unique moment of the universe, a moment that will never be again. and what do we teach our children?we teach them that two and two makes four, and that paris is the capital of france. when will we also teach them what they are? we should say to each of them: do you know what you are? you are a marvel. you are unique. in all the years that have passed, there has never been another child like you. your legs, your arms, your clever fingers, the way you move. you may become shakespeare, a michelangelo, a beethoven. you have the capacity for anything. yes, you are a marvel.
